I took this photo during Festa do Santo Cristo in Ponta Delgada. What I love here is the contrast: an older couple on the balcony looking in one direction, and a younger crowd at the bottom looking in the other. It speaks about life, how generations move at different rhythms, see things from different perspectives, but still share the same space. The older ones have a view shaped by experience; the younger ones are discovering their own way. To me, this is what life is about: learning from each other while moving forward.
Because it’s a quiet, powerful reminder of connection, between people, between times, between ways of seeing the world. Hang it somewhere you want to feel that sense of continuity and wisdom.
