2025 ERA Regatta in Montreal

This weekend, I spent a few hours at the ERA Regatta in Montreal, which is one of Eastern Canada’s most exciting sprint rowing events. It took place at the iconic Olympic Basin on Île Notre-Dame, it brings together athletes from across the region to race in perfect formation over calm summer water.

The heat these days has been making most of us feel sluggish... but not these athletes. They've got the power to row 2 kilometers in under 7 minutes. Luckily, I was able to sit by the water, cool off, and capture some of that intensity through my lens.

It was a perfect summer day to photograph: stillness in the background, pure focus in the foreground.
